Well, we are welcoming the change of seasons here in the Hudson Valley and enjoying cozy evenings by the fireplaces, turning leaves, baked apples and all there is to see and do in the area.
The Great Pumpkin Blaze hosted by Hudsonvalley.org has returned to the Village once more this year and is a treat for all ages. Be sure to visit their website for advanced ticket purchases as it is an extremely popular event as well as the running of the Headless Horseman in nearby Sleepy Hollow.
Be sure to pack a sweater and be ready for a relaxing and entertaining stay.

Triathalons, Tea Parties and True Love
Well what an exciting few weeks it has been. After the rumble of the East Coast earthquake, we were greeted by Hurricane Irene, all the while, hosting Eric and Samantha’s wedding party. As the clouds cleared it was time for Croton’s annual Ironman Triathalon held a stones throw away at Croton Point Park. Tom made sure all of the triathletes were full of carbs for their full day of running, bicycling and swimming the mighty Hudson. I’m happy to report that all of our guests that weekend finished with outstanding time.
Sunday afternoon was reserved for our monthly charity tea party for eight for a wonderful group from Wallkill (about 1 1/2hours north ). Home baked goodies were enjoyed by all as the famous Calliope Music Box played classic Victorian music. Everyone tried on a vintage hat from our extensive collection while we all laughed and recollected the days when they were considered “Haute Couture” !
